MARK JAMES-CERAMIC ARTIST Click here to view works   I have been experimenting with clay, glaze and fire since 1986 (about 15 years). I was attracted to this art form because of the many different ways I could express ideas. After living in Marlborough for 17 years my family moved to a beautiful bush block near Punakaiki on the West Coast of the South Island, New Zealand over looking the Tasman Sea in 2003. I carried on my ceramic art finding ample inspiration from the native bush, sky and sea. All the work I produce is raku fired. This is quite unpredictable which is the appeal for me, no two pots are the same.
