Carolyn has created with glass for 15 years. Initially she made jewellry by kiln fusing glass using materials from the hotglass partnership she was then involved with. When the partnership disbanded she turned her attention to flameworking and began making beads. She enjoys the fluidity of glass in the alchemy of the flame and likes to produce simple organic forms and non traditional shapes. Working with colour and light her beads are a reflection of the wonderful West Coast environment in which she has always lived. Her glass beads maybe produced for a piece of jewellry as the outcome or as singles units of a creative moment.
